Does Zara Advertise?

 Does Zara Advertise?
We all have learned, or at least have heard about the Importance of Advertising in Marketing World. Webeing functioning in product parity market, with huge purchasing power, need to understand the scope and importance of Marketing and its tools.
Advertising, PR, Direct Marketing, Promotions, Publicity etc all come under the package of the marketing process. It is a huge business investing sector, and has planning, organizing, executing, and following up involved in it. Advertising being most public and free to all and has become a seen need among the marketers and the market.Watch Roads, Newspapers, TV, Radio, Social Media, Digital Media; and you’ll find Advertisements everywhere.

But still, there are some cult products who aren’t investing into Advertising, even though it is important, as it lets people be aware, reminded, informed about changes about the brand.

And that is what Zara also does;

Zara has created a new form of marketing for itself. Instead of shelling out money for advertising, Zara invests in acquiring showrooms next to the high-end brands. It has managed to form associations with the standard of living these brands represent, as well as established a sophisticated air around its stores with employees in formal suits, and black and white theme. The reason behind taking the risk to not advertise was that Zara wanted to distinguish itself as an affordable luxury brand for a niche audience; who wants to keep up with the changing trends and came to be known as the label of fast fashion. Another secret behind this successful venture is the parent company Inditex. Inditex essentially imitates the latest fashion trends and provides an affordable option. With its frequently changing line, the fashionistas keep their wardrobes updated with the latest trends.

And that is another way of looking at Marketing, from another perspective.
